WFC2 Signs Former Energy FC Forward Greig

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 has announced the signing of veteran USL forward Kyle Greig for the 2016 USL season. Greig’s signing is pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and work permit.

Greig has been a key contributor for OKC Energy FC for the past two seasons, and helped the side reach the Western Conference Final of the 2015 USL Playoffs. Greig scored 16 regular-season goals in 52 appearances for Energy FC while also adding three assists.

“Kyle is a hard working striker who knows the league well,” said WFC2 Head Coach Alan Koch. “He has experienced success in USL and he’ll help push our group to do the same. We’re thrilled to welcome Kyle to the club.”

A former member of the PDL’s Kansas City Brass, Greig began his professional career with Wilmington Hammerheads FC in 2013. Greig scored six goals in 24 appearances for the Hammerheads in his rookie season.
