TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Roughnecks FC has announced the signing of midfielder Adriano Pellegrino and defender David Abidor for the 2016 USL season.

The 31-year-old Pellegrino has spent much of his career in his native Australia, where he competed in the A-League for the Perth Glory and Central Coast Mariners. While a member of the Glory, he made 80 appearances for the club, and recorded five goals and 16 assists. In 2009 he earned the club’s Most Glorious Player award.

Abidor, meanwhile, spent time last year in training camp with the Roughnecks and Real Salt Lake before heading to Sweden to begin his professional career with Dalkurd FC. He had previously competed collegiately for Creighton University, and helped the Bluejays win the Big East Championship and advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.

The Roughnecks will open the 2016 USL season on Saturday, March 26 as they host Rio Grande Valley FC at ONEOK Field, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. CT.
