PHOENIX – Arizona United SC announced on Friday the signing of midfielder Peter Kelly for the 2016 USL season, and also the addition of Marc Bircham as an assistant coach to Frank Yallop.
Kelly, who played previously in Arizona for FC Tucson in the PDL, made nine appearances for Saint Louis FC in his USL rookie season. A native of St. Louis, Kelly played in college for SIUE Edwardsville, and was an All-Missouri Valley Conference Second Team selection in his senior season.
Bircham joins United after having previously worked with Yallop at the Chicago Fire. A former Canadian international, Bircham played professionally for Millwall and Queens Park Rangers, and subsequently coached at both clubs following his retirement from playing.

“Marc is a great tactical mind who brings a wealth of experience to the club from all his years as a player and coach at Millwall and Queens Park Rangers,” Yallop said. “We're both looking forward to building something special in Arizona and the players will really enjoy working and learning from him.”Bircham made more than 100 appearances for both Millwall and QPR, and entered the coaching ranks with Rangers in 2009, where he worked for five years.
