WILMINGTON, N.C. – Wilmington Hammerheads FC announced the addition of defender Peabo Doue to the club’s 2016 roster.

Doue is a talented young defender who is entering his fourth year in the USL. He spent the previous two seasons playing for OKC Energy FC, where he appeared in 45 matches and tallied four points. Prior to that he played during the 2013 USL season with Phoenix FC.

“I’m looking forward to joining the club,” said Doue. “I’ve heard many good things about the Hammerheads and their history. I’m happy to join their family and community and am excited about the opportunity to help the club advance to the next level.”

Doue has already proved he can produce in the clutch. Last season when OKC Energy’s season was on the line the defender came in and scored a pivotal overtime goal in the Western Conference Semifinal, helping the Energy advance to the Conference Finals.

“Peabo [Doue] is a fantastic addition to our squad,” said Head Coach Mark Briggs. “He was part of a successful team last year with the OKC Energy and we want him to bring that hunger and drive for success to Wilmington. He is a no-nonsense defender and a great pro in every way.”
