PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Pittsburgh Riverhounds announced a four-game preseason schedule on Wednesday morning, with the club’s official preseason set to kick off on Monday, Feb. 15.
The team will use the Allegheny Health Network Sports Complex at Cool Springs in Bethel Park as its main training base, and will host at least two contests at Highmark Stadium as it prepares for its season-opener against defending USL champions Rochester Rhinos on Saturday, April 2.

The Riverhounds will head on the road to open preseason on Feb. 28 against Penn State, as new signing Corey Hertzog faces off with his alma mater. The following weekend, Ohio State visits Highmark Stadium for a 2 p.m. ET kickoff after a season that saw the Buckeyes reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.Michigan State will visit Highmark Stadium on March 13 for a 1 p.m. kickoff before the Riverhounds conclude their preparations with a contest against 2015 College Cup side the University of Akron at a site that has yet to be determined on March 18.
