HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Harrisburg City Islanders announced on Wednesday the signing of former FC Dallas midfielder Bobby Warshaw for the new USL season.
A first round MLS SuperDraft selection in 2011, Warshaw made 32 appearances for Dallas over three seasons. The native of Mechanicsville, Pa. then joined Swedish club GAIS in 2014, before heading to Norwegian side Bǣrum SK, where he recorded five goals in 32 appearances.
Warshaw most recently played for Hønefoss BK in Norway, but now returns to Pennsylvania to continue his professional career.

“I wanted to be around my family again, I wanted to be comfortable,” said Warshaw in an exclusive interview with CBS 21 News Sports Director Jason Bristol. “I think there is huge merit in being uncomfortable in life and in growth as a player but I wanted to be comfortable again.
“But I also think it's important -- and I won't lie about this -- to pay it back to my parents, to my community, to the Mechanicsburg soccer club; the people that supported me and give them a chance to be a part of the ride again.”
