Benbow Returns for Second Season in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Harrisburg City Islanders announced on Thursday that midfielder Cardel Benbow would return to the club for a second season in 2016.

Benbow made 19 appearances for Harrisburg in 2015, and recorded two goals and two assists. The 20-year-old, who made his debut for the Jamaican National Team in 2014 against Japan, has also previously played for Waterhouse in the CONCACAF Champions League prior to signing with Harrisburg.

Benbow also competed for Jamaica’s U20 National Team in the 2015 CONCACAF U20 Championship, where he appeared in three of the team’s four group-stage contests.
