IRVINE, Calif. – Orange County Blues FC has announced the club has re-signed goalkeeper Josh Cohen for the 2016 USL season.
“I’m excited to be returning to the OC Blues for my first full season as a professional,” said Cohen. “I’m looking forward to playing with all the new guys on the team and building on my experiences from the end of last year.”
Cohen joined the Blues mid-season in 2015 after a standout season for the PDL’s Burlingame Dragons FC, which he helped claim the PDL’s Southwest Division in the club’s inaugural season. Cohen made his professional debut for the Blues on Sept. 13 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 as the Blues earned a 1-1 draw.

“We are pleased to have Josh back for next season and we look forward to continuing his development,” said Head Coach and General Manager Oliver Wyss.A standout at the University of California San Diego, Cohen was named an NSCAA Division II All-America First Team selection in his senior season for the Tritons, as he helped the side reach the third round of the NCAA Division II Tournament.
