COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC will visit Air Force for a closed-door scrimmage on Saturday afternoon for the second contest of its preseason. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. MT at the Cadet Soccer Stadium.

The Switchbacks took a 6-1 win against local club Real Colorado on February 13 in their preseason opener, as Steve Trittschuh began the process of incorporating some new faces into an already strong squad. Colorado Springs has added former Orange County defender Josh Suggs and goalkeeper Billy Thompson and a pair of rookies in Jacob Cawsey and Dan Jackson to the side which reached last season’s Western Conference Semifinals in the USL Playoffs.

Saturday’s contest will be a homecoming of sorts for Switchbacks defender Kevin Durr, who competed for Air Force during his college career. Durr was a three-time All-Mountain Pacific First Team selection while with the Falcons, and last season played his first professional season with the Switchbacks.

Switchbacks fans can follow the action on Saturday via the club’s official Twitter feed (@SwitchbacksFC). The club opens the 2016 USL regular season on Saturday, March 26 on the road against OKC Energy FC at 6 p.m. MT at Taft Stadium.
