SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – USL Western Conference rivals Saint Louis FC and OKC Energy FC played to a 0-0 draw in a preseason exhibition on Sunday afternoon at the Lake Country Soccer Complex.
Energy FC created the first clear chance in the 11th minute when Casey Townsend found space, but his shot went wide of the post. Saint Louis also had some good spells as the half went on, but OKC’s Coady Andrews and Michael Byskov both provided clearances from corner kicks to keep the game scoreless at the break.

OKC twice went close to breaking the deadlock in a matter of minutes around the hour-mark, as first Michael Thomas sent a long pass over the top that found Sebastian Dalgaard, only for the Danish midfielder to fire his shot over the crossbar.
Townsend then went close as he wove past a pair of defenders and fired on goal, but Saint Louis goalkeeper Ryan Thompson made the diving save. Saint Louis had a chance from a free kick 10 minutes later, but Cody Laurendi made the save as he completed a four-save shutout.
