OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC has announced the signing of former Charlotte Independence forward Daniel Jackson for the 2016 USL season.
“It’s great to be with such a new organization. I’ve heard such great things about the team,” Jackson said. “They obviously did well last season, so I’m excited to join the group from last year and contribute to the team.”

Jackson scored four goals in 15 appearances for the Independence in the 2015 USL season. He had previously played for the Carolina RailHawks, whom he also spent time with on loan following the conclusion of the Independence’s season late last year.“Daniel is another player that we have been tracking for the last two years, and finally got the opportunity to sign,” said Energy FC General Manager Jason Hawkins. “When he was with both Carolina and Charlotte, he showed that he had the ability to come in and change a game immediately. We look forward to getting him into camp and watching him mold his role within the team.”
