RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers have announced a six-game preseason schedule that will see college powerhouse the University of Virginia and the Carolina RailHawks visit as the club prepares for the 2016 USL season.

The Kickers will host the Cavaliers at Ukrop Park in the annual Pro-Am Challenge on Saturday, March 5. Virginia reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament this past fall, and is set to return a strong squad for the spring as it looks to earn a second NCAA Championship in three years after winning the College Cup in 2014.

College sides make up the remainder of the club’s preseason schedule, which opens on Sunday, Feb. 28 with a closed-door scrimmage against Longwood University. The Kickers will also face Navy (Sunday, March 6) and Virginia Commonwealth University (Sunday, March 20).
