RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers announced on Wednesday that forward Anthony Grant had been sent on loan to Jamaican Red Stripe Premier League side University of the West Indies FC.

Grant was the 2015 PDL Most Valuable Player for the Seacoast United Phantoms after claiming the league’s Golden Boot with 12 goals before signing professionally with the Kickers following the conclusion of the Phantoms’ season.

Grant made five appearances for the Kickers in the 2015 regular season, and is set to return to the Kickers for the start of their preseason.

“I’m just looking forward to getting out on the field with the guys, and just compete as the season moves forward and try to get the championship,” Grant told USLSoccer.com in December. “I know they’re looking to the forwards to get a lot of goals, and I really think we’ll do well.”
