TORONTO – Toronto FC II announced on Wednesday it had signed former TFC Academy midfielder Liam Fraser for the 2016 USL season.

Fraser made 10 appearances for TFC II in the 2015 USL season as an Academy player, and now joins the team on a permanent basis. He is the latest member of the club’s academy to join the USL side, following the previously announced additions of Martin Davis and Malik Johnson.

“We are pleased to add another graduate from the Kia Toronto FC Academy to our roster,” said Toronto FC II Head Coach Jason Bent. “When called up from the senior team last season, he displayed qualities we are looking for in a young professional. We look forward to his continued progression this season.”

A call-up for Canada’s U20 National Team Development Camp last year, Fraser is the ninth player to be signed from the TFC Academy since the club’s inception in 2015.
