SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC has signed midfielder Michael Reed for the upcoming 2016 USL season, the club announced Wednesday. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Reed joins San Antonio from the Atlanta Silverbacks, where he spent the 2015 season. Reed started all of his 29 appearances for the Silverbacks, logging 2,590 minutes and scoring one goal. The 28-year-old joined the Silverbacks after spending three seasons with Minnesota United where he collected a championship crown in 2014.
“Michael has great endurance and an extremely high work rate in midfield,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell. “He will complement the midfielders on the squad really well, and we anticipate him having a good season for us.”
