KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Swope Park Rangers have announced the addition of midfielder Tomas Granitto and defender Jimmy Mulligan for the 2016 USL season. Granitto’s signing is pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate.
A former player for FC Edmonton, the 22-year-old Granitto is a native of El Salvador, but grew up in Florida, and played collegiately for Florida Gulf Coast University. Last season Granitto made 12 appearances for the Eddies in the regular season, and another three in the Amway Canadian Championship.
“Joining the Swope Park Rangers is an important move in my career,” Granitto said. “I am proud to be part of an organization where the players and staff have the same goals and ambitions. I am very excited to start the regular season, and help the team achieve our goals.”

Mulligan joins the Rangers on loan from the New York Cosmos, where he made seven appearances over the past two seasons. A former player for St. John’s University, Mulligan’s versatility will likely prove an asset to his new club.“Jimmy has the characteristics that he can play in many positions along the back line,” Rangers Coach Marc Dos Santos said. “I've known Jimmy from his time with the New York Cosmos the last two years and I think he's a player with a lot of potential - good qualities, good on the ball, very energetic, works very hard, joins the attack well and is an excellent person.”
