Orlando City B Finalizes Preseason Fixtures

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City B announced its full preseason schedule in preparation for the 2016 USL campaign, with Major League Soccer’s Toronto FC and defending USL Western Conference regular-season champion OKC Energy FC among the fixtures.

“We’re absolutely excited for the series of competitive fixtures that we have prepared to get the team ready four our 2016 USL season,” said OCB Head Coach Anthony Pulis. “We want to continue our successful history in the league while developing our young talent and we are confident that facing some of these top squads in the next weeks will be instrumental to achieve this.”

OCB faces Toronto FC on Wednesday, followed by a USL preseason clash against Energy FC on Sunday at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Orlando City B then will take on Colombia’s U-23 national team on Feb. 24 in Fort Lauderdale.

The remainder of the preseason is against collegiate competition: Central Florida (Feb. 28), Florida Technological College (March 5), the University of North Florida (March 8), Florida International University (March 12) and Eastern Florida State College (March 19).

The Lions have already played two of its preseason matches, defeating Stetson University 1-0 on Saturday, Feb. 6, and overpowering the University of Central Florida 4-0 on Sunday, Feb. 14.

Orlando City B opens the 2016 USL season at the Eastern Florida State College’s (EFSC) stadium Titan Soccer Complex on Mar. 26 against Wilmington Hammerheads FC.
