ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City B has announced the signing of defender Zach Ellis-Hayden and goalkeeper Jake Fenlason for the 2016 USL season. Ellis-Hayden's signing is pending recepit of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate.
Ellis-Hayden joins the Lions after a standout season in the PDL in 2015 that saw him help K-W United FC claim its first league championship. A native of Kitchener, Ontario, Ellis-Hayden also had a strong collegiate career for Cleveland State University, where he earned All-Horizon League honors in 2012 and 2013.
Fenlason is a former player for the University of Akron, and helped the side reach this year’s NCAA College Cup as he recorded a career high in saves (105) and shutouts (9). The 23-year-old native of San Diego, Calif. also earned All-Mid-American Conference honors in his junior season for the Zips in 2014, as he recorded seven shutouts, a 0.78 goals-against average and a .811 save percentage.
