ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City B has completed the signings of a pair of players, with Mikey Ambrose and Tony Rocha both joining the new USL club after competing for the Austin Aztex in the 2015 USL season. The players are the first two signings for the club.
Ambrose is a former U.S. U20 international, who turned professional with the Aztex this spring after competing for the University of Maryland. In his rookie season, Ambrose made 26 appearances, and recorded 2,236 minutes. Ambrose had also previously played for the Aztex for two seasons in the PDL, after graduating from the FC Dallas Academy.Rocha also had a solid 2015 season for the Aztex, as he had one goal and three assists in 18 appearances for the club. Rocha had also played the previous three seasons for the Aztex in the PDL, and was named to the All-Southern Conference Team when the club claimed the 2013 PDL championship. Rocha was also named to the All-Southern Conference Team in 2014 before turning pro with the Aztex as they joined the USL in 2015.
