CINCINNATI, Ohio – FC Cincinnati will face New York City FC as part of a 12-day training stint this preseason, as the club makes the trip to the world-class facilities of IMG Academy as part of its preparations for the 2016 USL season.
Cincinnati will also take on Icelandic side KR Reykjavik and Danish side HB Koge as part of an international tournament, with the club set to arrive in Florida on February 16.
“We are excited to train at the IMG Academy to prepare for our inaugural season in the USL,” said Head Coach John Harkes. “Our team will have the chance to train at a top-notch facility and compete against international and professional soccer talent to prepare us for the upcoming season.”

FC Cincinnati announced its first signings last month, led by former MLS Rookie of the Year Austin Berry, and is the second USL club to announce a preseason stay at IMG Academy, with Louisville City FC also slated to visit the Sunshine state.Cincinnati will face KR Reykjavik on Saturday, Feb. 20, and then New York City FC on Wednesday, Feb. 24 before closing out the tournament on Saturday, Feb. 27 against HB Koge.
