The New York Red Bulls made Tyler Adams’ move to the club’s MLS squad official on Wednesday morning as it announced its first set of roster moves of the offseason.

Adams was the first signing in New York Red Bulls II history earlier this season, and the U.S. U17 international put in a positive rookie season for the club in addition to his international duties. Adams made 11 appearances for the Red Bulls II, recording 808 minutes of action, as the club advanced to the 2015 USL Playoffs.

Adams also featured for the United States in the FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile, where he appeared in all three of the side’s contests.

With his signing, Adams becomes the fourth player to make the move from the USL to Major League Soccer since the start of the 2015 season. He follows Toronto FC’s Clement Simonin, Seattle Sounders FC’s Andy Craven and the LA Galaxy’s Dave Romney, all of whom saw action in MLS this year.
