RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers have announced the signing of Argentinian midfielder Lucas Paulini ahead of the 2016 USL season.

“Lucas is a fantastic addition to the team,” said Leigh Cowlishaw, Richmond Kickers Director of Soccer. “He has an abundance of professional experience and his passion for the game is infectious. Paulini most recently played for the Atlanta Silverbacks, for whom he made 55 appearances over four seasons with the club. The 26-year-old had previously moved to the U.S. in 2007, and began his college career in Tennessee for Tusculum College, where he was named to the All-South Atlantic Conference First Team and the All-Region Division II Second Team.

Paulini transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University ahead of his senior season, and capped a standout season for the Rams with selection to the Colonial Athletic Association First Team, and being named to an NSCAA All-Region Team.
