IRVINE, Calif. – Orange County Blues FC announced its complete preseason schedule on Monday, with a trip to Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, Arizona highlighting an eight-game slate.
The Blues, who finished top of the USL’s Western Conference standings in 2015, will face K-League side Seongnam FC on Tuesday at Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Stadium, the first of four professional opponents that remain on the club’s schedule after a contest last week with the Colorado Rapids. Two of the remaining games will come in Arizona, as Oliver Wyss’ side takes on Indy Eleven (3/7) and USL rival Arizona United SC (3/10) during its trip.
“Grande Sports World is a first-class, soccer-specific facility which is the perfect environment for us as a team to get some more top-quality work in on the training field and play against two very good teams,” said Blues Technical Director Barry Venison. “This week away as a squad is valuable time spent together in preparation for a very exciting USL season for OC Blues FC.”

The Blues will also host Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Friday, March 18 at the OC Great Park in Irvine in its penultimate game of the preseason. Games against college opponents inclue the University of San Diego (2/20), UCLA (2/28), Cal State Fullerton (3/2) and Cal State Northridge (3/19) complete the schedule.Orange County will host Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 in its opening game of the 2016 USL regular season on Saturday, March 26 at Anteater Stadium.
