TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Roughnecks FC announced its preseason schedule on Thursday, with the slate highlighted by a 10-day stay in Florida as the club prepares for the 2016 USL regular season.
“Going to Florida is a great start to our training,” said Roughnecks Coach David Irving. “Unlike last year, we will not have to be so concerned with the weather, and we will be able to get more work in. It will also be good for team bonding as we will have an extended period away to familiarize ourselves.”
The Roughnecks will arrive in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on February 26, and open their preseason against Florida Gulf Coast University two days later. The side will then face local club the Miami Fusion on March 1 before heading north to Jacksonville, where it will face a pair of contests against the Jacksonville Armada (March 3) and Miami FC (March 5).
