SEATTLE, Wash. – Seattle Sounders FC 2 standout Oalex Anderson has become the third player to compete in S2’s inaugural season to earn his first-team crest.

Anderson was introduced as the newest member of Seattle Sounders FC on Tuesday evening as he joined fellow forward Andy Craven and goalkeeper Tyler Miller in making the move to the organization’s MLS squad.

“It's exciting to see our development system at work in signing one of our standout S2 players to the First Team,” said Sounders FC General Manager & President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey. “Oalex has a lot of potential, which he showed last season, and we're happy to have him join the senior squad ahead of the 2016 MLS season.”

Anderson scored four goals in 16 appearances for S2 in the club’s inaugural season, as he helped the side earn a berth in the 2015 USL Playoffs. The St. Vincent & Grenadines international has also played a key role in his country’s recent success in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying, and scored against the United States last November in the opening game of the fourth round of qualifying.

“Oalex is an incredibly special player, and he can do some incredible things on the field,” S2 Head Coach Ezra Hendrickson said of Anderson last summer. “We believe his future is bright with this club, and he will be with the organization for a long time to come.”
