VANCOUVER, B.C. – Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 scored a goal in either half to take a 2-0 victory against the University of British Columbia in a preseason exhibition on Saturday at Thunderbird Stadium.
WFC2 was bolstered by the inclusion of some experienced veterans, two of whom played a role in the opening goal in the 33rd minute. After a pass by Brett Levis found Alphonso Davies down the left side, the teenager sent a pass into the center to recent Whitecaps acquisition Blas Perez. His pass found Christian Bolanos breaking in from the right, and the Costa Rican fired home a finish.
